Flight attendants, what are some things we as passengers don’t know when we fly? Also what are the negative aspects of your job?

Sure, and what about people who have a fever and want the plane warmer because they are shivering in what is otherwise a relatively normal temperature. I think it’s ridiculous to assert that the temperature of a room with hundreds of people in it should be changed because one (or a few) people are uncomfortable. Dress in layers, make yourself comfortable, and let the flight attendants adjust the temperature as they see fit.

And don’t take it personal, it’s not about you as an individual. I’m sure you’re a perfectly nice person. I just find the “I’m cold (or hot) therefore everyone must feel the same, therefore the environment must be changed to suit my needs” pervasive. In a previous job I was frequently in charge of various groups of between 5-35 people, and people always wanted the temperature adjusted to their own tastes. Every day it was a conversation. No matter which group, or what the temperature was, a handful of people thought it was too hot, a handful thought it was too cold, and most people just dealt with the temperature like an adult, and wore seasonally appropriate clothing in layers.
