The past few months have been tough for Fnatic League of Legends fans, and there has been a lot of speculation and questions surrounding our roster for this upcoming LCS season. It has been a long process, but today we can finally announce our 2015 LCS roster.
Unfortunately, we start this announcement off with some sad news. In June 2012 we signed an up and coming player, who by 2013 became the best top lane player in Europe. Paul has been an incredible teammate and friend to every one in this organisation, he played an integral role in Fnatic by helping us win three LCS titles in a row and that’s something we’ll never forget. When we sat down and spoke about the future, it became clear to both parties that it was best to part ways. We will continue to cheer him on and watch as he continues his storied career in League of Legends. Paul had this to say about his time in Fnatic and the future:

I have been able to experience so many good memories, some of the best in my entire life, with Fnatic. I want to thank everyone that worked with us and all the people that I have played with, it was a hard decision to make but together we felt it was time for me and Fnatic to part ways.
I have been playing league for a really long time but this is not the end for me. I want to wish the best to everyone in Fnatic. I’m looking forward to seeing the new guys play in LCS and cheer for my boy Yellowstar. Lastly I would like to thanks all the fans that have been supporting us for the past few years, it truly means a lot to me.
Firstly, we would like to thank all of the fans and members of the community who stayed patient through this time. It has been a very difficult time for you, filled with uncertainty and confusion, but today it's over.
Change is always hard, but a new chapter is here. Please welcome the new era in Fnatic League of Legends.
Pierre “Steeelback” Medjaldi and Bora “YellowStar” Kim will fly the French flag in the bot-lane. The three time challenger series champion Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten will control the mid-lane. Former Incredible Miracle jungler Kim Ui-jin will live in the jungle and finally SeungHoon “Huni” Heo will defend the top-lane.
We didn’t have to go far to find who we believe are the four most promising young talents in League of Legends. Febiven has been on our radar for a long time, he has improved leaps and bounds over the past few months and has been eager to get his shot in the LCS. During his time with H2K, he was able to put himself into the list of the best midlaners in Europe. Steeelback was hand-picked by YellowStar, they have played a lot of games together and both of them share the same mindset in bot-lane. After seeing the two duo-queue together we were blown away. Our search then moved to South Korea, where both Reignover and Huni instantly caught our eye. The two share an incredible amount of potential and after extensive discussions we learned of their drive and passion to succeed. We feel both of these players, although fairly unknown, will surprise a lot of people. With YellowStar's veteran leadership, and this teams unrivaled motivation to succeed, we feel they can live up to the winning tradition here at Fnatic.
We understand that these moves will raise questions, however we are confident that with time this team will compete at the highest level. The players and the Fnatic management are aware of the immense challenge that waits for us in Berlin, but we have faith in the talent that each of the players possess. The team is currently focused on their bootcamp in Brussels and are working day and night to ensure they are ready to go for their first match in the 2015 LCS Season.

I'm very excited to start off the season with a whole new roster. You may not know most of our players but we will make sure to prove ourselves and work together to get closer to our objective which has always been reaching the top.
Picking up young talents is a challenge I accepted to take - Give us some time because the future is bright, keep supporting FNATIC and give our players a warm welcome.
Fabian “Febiven” Diepstraten, Fnatic Mid:
I am extremely happy to join such a prestigious organisation like Fnatic. They have been in the scene for a long time and have a really good reputation and track record. I have high expectations for this team and I will do my best to succeed and achieve good performances. I hope all the Fnatic fans stick with our new roster and will cheer for us. Playing for Fnatic in the EU LCS is my dream and I'm ready to live it.
Pierre “Steeelback” Medjaldi, Fnatic ADC
I'm really excited and happy to join Fnatic, it is a totally new adventure for me since it's the first time I will play professionally. I want to prove myself and earn my spot among the good ADCs in Europe.
Fnatic has always been a huge organisation since the beginning, they have always had really good results and I'm extremely motivated to continue that tradition. It’s a dream come true for me to play at this level and for these fans. My goal is to do my best to help the team succeed in the LCS and live up to the expectations we have set.
Kim “Reignover” Ui-jin, Fnatic Jungle
I am really glad to join Fnatic and would like to thank them for giving me an opportunity to play here. I will try my best to perform and I sincerely hope we can grow together to be the best team in Europe. It is my first time visiting this part of the world, things are unfamiliar for me, but the people are so kind and I am having a really good time. Lastly, I wish people will cheer for us and keep believing in Fnatic League of Legends!
SeungHoon "Huni" Heo, Fnatic Top
It is an honour for me to join Fnatic. I was just an amateur player in the Korean server, but I gained a lot of experience, and learned many things while staying with the Samsung team. I had overcome almost all of the flaws that amateurs have. Due to my age I didn't have opportunities to play in leagues, so I am very eager to prove myself at this level. I won't disappoint you!
