Fnatic vs. Paradigm | EU | SPL Season 3 Spring Post Match Discussion

There's no reason to be mad at Realzx here. Just because you're an SPL player that means you can't take a break? You've got subs for exactly these situations. Someone's power going out, someone having other issues or plainly just not being there.

Hell every normal job has vacations and a normal job pays a lot better than SPL, especially if you're barely winning any games. It's nice money on the side but you still need to put in a ton of time and don't get a lot in return.

Besides, they wanted to do roster swaps anyway. Their subs Jermain, Dardez and Tynz were to join the team and replace Realzx, Bigman and maniaKK.

Myrmidons had a really potent team that could have easily gotten into top 2 Challenger Cup and relegated one of the SPL teams. They have the choice of either playing in the Challenger Cup or three of othem joining Fnatics roster. If they play another set in the SPL, Myrmidons are history. From rumors I've heard Realzx wasn't entirely sure about quitting the game anymore so that leaves Jermain in a weird spot. If he chooses to take the risk of Realzx deciding to stay on the team, he's roster locked to Fnatic and can't compete in the Challenger Cup. I don't know where that leaves Dardez and Tynz but they might also not get the spots in the end and be roster locked too.

So they get signed up as subs for Fnatic, then choose to play in the SPL because that will lock them to an uncertain outcome and so they decided to get Myrmidons back together and play in the Challenger Cup.

That situation left Fnatic unable fielding a full roster in the second game, because their 4th sub Hexacidal (who was 100% only a sub and not a possible replacement) didn't want to get locked and miss out on the Challenger Cup for a few dollars.

Who should HiRez fine now? The four players who were there, ready to compete? The team captain who signed up the players and subs? Whoever made the decision to sign up 3 Mymi players and a 4th sub who they knew wouldn't play the second game? Or Realzx because he was on vacation even though he thought everything was sorted out back at home?

It's just a shitty situation. Fnatic should have probably signed up 3 different players instead of the Myrmidons people, let them play in the Challenger Cup for Week 1 and postponed their roster decisions until Realzx is back. If Realzx, Bigman, maniaKK stayon the roster, Myrmidons are fine. If Realzx decides to quit, Jermain, Dardez and Tynz can officially replace the 3 Fnatic members and play the next set.

Then again if Realzx communicated his uncertainty to the team after the weekly sign-ups, there's nothing to be done unless HiRez admin allow a new sub to fill even though it shouldn't be possible because of the ruleset.
