What 'improvements' have actually made British life worse?

I think you lack an understanding that people are different to you and have different wants and desires.

I want to go and pick out my own things at a supermarket. A lot of the time I go in I’m not totally sure what I’m going to get, it allows me to browse around and pick out things that I decide I want to have.

I like having self checkouts. Naturally it doesn’t work for big shops, but if I’m only getting a few items i can scan it through just as fast as someone working at a till. I also don’t have to bother chatting to someone if I don’t feel like it.

I like putting my own petrol in my car, it’s actually quite nice just to get out my car and have a little break in the fresh air. I’ve also never come away smelling of petrol.

You may prefer the opposite of all these things, but you cannot objectively say they are making customer experience worse because everyone’s preferred experience can be different to yours.
