For those who had no work experience during college, why not?

I was a community college transfer to a difficult university. I studied statistics and I was afraid of having to juggle a job and deal with exams. I also took out loans so I didn't need extra money, I simply lived within my means.

How has this affected me postgrad? After graduating at the end of 2016 with a bachelor's in statistics from UC Berkeley I was hopeful that I'd be able to get an internship or an entry level job. These things didn't happen. I feel that a lack of job history besides working at a tutoring center before I transferred impacted my chances in a way I didn't anticipate. After a year of job searching I settled for a 20 hour work week at a tutoring center not paying enough to survive alone in SoCal. I left this job a couple of months ago. Broke is broke. I'm still staying with my parents and it is not a good time.
