For women, what stops you getting married?

Yes, my point exactly. She is to stay at home and there is no sin on the husband for micromanagement even if it's just for the fun of it and I'm sure majority of imams wouldn't grand her a divorce for feeling suffocated (I'm not saying any person in the scenario right or wrong btw)

The best of men is best to his womenfolk.

But I genuinely haven't found any sin or repercussion if he isn't. Seems like it's generous for him to be treating her kind but it's not his duty - at least that's how I've been informed. I'm going to go for an analogy to explain my point - there a difference between the way Islam stresses the importance of a woman obeying her husband (its one of the most important duties of the woman and if he's pleased with her she can enter paradise, if he isn't she - ) versus the way a husband should treat her nicely. It doesn't seem necessarily bad if he doesn't care about that too much bc...i guess it's not a duty towards his wife but rather a good deed.

A man generally wouldn't forbid his wife from going out unless he sees a reason such as her being influenced by her parents badly or some other reason.

I've seen lots of women saying otherwise here. I mean technically he isn't doing anything wrong in either of these cases it seems.
