I'm mired in an ethical dilemma that involves makeup. Specifically animal hair brushes. Even more specifically Sonia G brushes. Even with the Beautylish sale event they are ridiculously expensive...yet people rave about them. I have chosen to stick with vegan brushes because I just don't think animal hair brushes can ever be cruelty free. I doubt a brush will turn me into Pat McGrath but I can't help but wonder if these brushes would. Am I willing to compromise my principles for a brush? Do I feel guilty thinking about this when people are starving and dying in horrible conflicts - most definitely yes. Do I feel I deserve something nice because so many other things are shit - oh yes. I'm hoping to have the decision taken out of my hands because everything sells out. What to do?
