Thank you for the advice. He did go to court once already and was told this is going to go to trial and be back by next month. He tried to find out from his public defender what just happened and didn't get a clear answer. He doesn't even know what is going to happen when he shows up for the next court date. He has witnesses of her assaulting him at his place of work, and at other times as well. This has all been provided to the public defender. When he came with the witnesses for the first court date, he said that they didn't need to be there.

I'm one of the few people he has left in his life and will try to help as much as I can. It's just really sad to see how she isolated him from everyone that would help him in in a situation like this and she would always hit him and scratch him when she was mad over anything, then file assault charges when he won't go back into the relationship. She was texting him the entire time between the time of when the assault allegedly happened and when she filed for charges to get back with her too, this is just so crazy to me.
