Agree w/ other posters, am also suspecting this is lipedema. It sounds like your docs are sort of dismissive & I know it is easier said than done but I do encourage you to look around for new doctors to consult.

Depending on your insurance(if it does happen to be lipedema - impaired kidney function happens to overlap w/ symptoms), you can start the process to get treatment covered. You've been working hard and from what I can conclude by reading, this is not a simple dietary/exercise fix. If diagnosed, please look into advocacy groups for treatment because it is common for this to be ignored without push & you seem to be in a lot of pain and discomfort. I'm sorry you're going through this & I hope you can find some answers + relief soon!
