The Future of AMD?

Intel is the only company committed to building new foundries in the US. TSMC broke ground on a new foundry in Arizona, however now they're threatening to cancel it unless they get heavy government subsidies. Global Foundries and Samsung also have announced plans for building foundries, however they're also dependent on government subsidies. Even if the CHIPS act gets signed into law, it will take several years to build new foundries assuming ASML can even supply the lithography machines. If that all goes well, then it will take a chip generation for AMD, Apple, etc... to redesign their new chips around a new process not manufactured by TSMC. So even best case scenario, we're looking at 5+ years.
