GameStop employees of Reddit, what are some of your horror stories?

  1. My moms ex-boyfriend brought two bottles of wine over to our house the night I met him. For dinner. And drank both. My mom only had one glass. Cut to my mom going to bed and me getting some sweet tea to drink before bed and he wants to teach me how to fight. He’s so drunk he can barely aim the punches he’s aiming at me and finally falls over and makes a ton of noise waking my mom. She got angry at him(duh) and threw him out, wouldn’t let him back inside. I was about 8 at the time and was too scared to yell for my mom cause I didn’t know what to do. I remember when he first came at me he hit my throat decently hard. Something I will never forget.

  2. When I was in 4th grade my mom went missing. I didn’t even know until I read a missing persons paper. She was missing for most of that school year. I lived with my grandparents the entire time. Came back right on my birthday. I’m 17 now and I still don’t know if she ran away on purpose or was kidnapped. She gets angry when I try asking her about it. Tbh, she think she ran away on purpose, was held captive, then managed to come back. But coming back right on the day of my birthday never sat with me well.
