I've given to charity a few times but it's always been a forceful thing , Jude's children's has got me a few times , I donating to a couple Katrina funds when that hit ..... A couple other things but I fit do general to help the poor charities . I have been poor for my mist my life and have had friends the same. The thing is I've seen first hand how in today's society such things have no long term affect . Something is keeping poor people poor for generations , something is broke in the system or we wouldn't have generations giving birth to generations still living in poverty . I've seen some of the reasons for I think the heart of the matter is still more obscure than even I know . Point is as my money came up I know giving money to my past self simply would not have helped me back than ,what helped was a combination of luck , serious thought , extremely high motivation , the nerve to risk what little I had in a huge gamble , the willingness to crash everything I knew , brains , some more serious thought and a couple more servings of luck.... In short a perfect storm .

I don't have the answers but I'm not hating on Gary for not throwing his money down a black hole as the system stands
