Plant husbandry and genetic modification are two different things. The latter has only been in use for only a couple generations. We have no generational studies on the effects GMOs have on health because it is too soon to tell. Ideally it will take a century at least to compare the before and after, also keeping a study like this accurate would be incredibly difficult.

Rural Indian populations have been rejecting GMO strategies the last several years as the outcomes for GMO crops have demonstrated lower yields and detrimental environmental damage.

Notably, the reaction of the Indian population has been very strong, murdering GMO advocates who use corporate liability laws to harm or displace families who have been farming for generations, promoting and successfully demonstrating biodynamic farming, an overwhelming rejection of GMO products in the market, mass protests against Monsanto, removal of the local politicians receiving GMO bribes and the resulting negative perception of GMOs in the country at large.

There are several organizations in India dedicated to repairing and revitalizing soil destroyed by GMO farming practices and making them productive again over a decade of rehabilitation. These practices are aimed at saving and supporting families and communities threatened by food insecurity due to the destruction of their farms from GMO soil depletion.

These days, efforts to promote GMO farming in India are met with extreme violence in defense of the safety of their way of life, they don't put up with any of the propaganda or corruption anymore because it's obvious to them how ineffective and harmful those practices are that it's seen as an attack.

Here in the U.S. chronic diseases like diabetes, obesity, heart disease and cancer are a growing epidemic. For other countries rejecting GMO products, the writing is on the wall. Americans have no business promoting GMOs when they we are the most unhealthy modern society in existence.
