It's just the same ol' reverse sexism circlejerk. Literally every fucking time it's like this.
To me these situations are not about sex, they're about strength. If you slap me and I know that you're strong enough that I think a fight might be starting and you might actually hurt me/beat me in a fight then sure, slapping back or even punching back is warranted.
If you slap me and I've assessed that you're a way weaker person, then I would try to restrain you. Exactly like Gordon was able to do.
That's the responsible thing to do in a position of greatly advantaged physical power, period. I don't care what sex or gender or whatever the person is, it could be some short fat weak guy or a noodle-armed ultra camp homosexual or it could just be my male friend that I know for a fact is a total pushover; if I know I'm that much stronger, then I will use the least violent physical means (if any) to resolve the situation.
Is this woman taking advantage of the fact that Gordon isn't someone who would retaliate against a weaker person eye for an eye? Sure she is. I still agree with the way he handled it though.
