Got airway on my mind

I am absolutely not trying to Monday morning quarterback. It sounds like u/Res1cue1’s concern was with the lack of safety nets should things go pear shaped (and rightly so). If the risk not having an adequate backup plan outweighs the benefit of immediate airway management, it may be better to wait until you have more resources and a more robust management strategy. If an airway needs urgently managed and the benefit of performing the procedure immediately outweighs the risk of failed intubation without adequate backup, then that is a different case. I was not there for the case, so I do not know the factors that influenced the decision.

I think that they managed a very sick patient as best as they could with the resources available to them, I am only adding a perspective.
