Got laid off 2 weeks after being told I was getting promoted.

Mine

January: was mentally drained from working Amazon warehouse job for 3 years. Took a 2 month leave of absence to look for a job.

March: after 2 months got a job quit Amazon. Job was landscaping (grass cutting). Wasn't provided any training on how to use the broken equipment and they had 3 employees plus me crammed into the car during a pandemic, and employees had to provide their own PPE. Should have left during orientation when the HR lady said they had a high turnover rate. Also sexist/racist employees. Bad signs. I quit.

May: got a job at a moving company. Got through the 5 day training/orientation just fine. On the second day of work developed bilateral stress fractures of the femoral necks. Put on restricted work for 2 months while going to the doctor every few weeks. Doctor didn't find anything wrong with my bloodwork to find out what would cause a 28 year old to develop such injures. Doctor recommended I resign and I did in July.

Then-Now: been on unemployment, and applying. Last job I applied to was for overnight stocker position at target. Also decided to take a couple of online classes to go for an associate's degree in applied science for IT.
