I got rejected from art school

Just throwing this out there…

I applied to an art school right after high school and was rejected. It hurt my ego and I gave up on art and started working in hospitality, worked in that industry for years and had some adventures but overall it was a lot of rich people yelling at me for things that were out of my control. I finally worked up the courage to quit after 9 years, moved across the country and now I’m back in school studying art.

I’ve only been in my drawing class for a month and my skills have improved immensely. I’m drawing things I didn’t know I could and I love what I’m doing.

Tldr; don’t give up your passion and compromise your ambitions because one school didn’t accept you. Good luck, OP!
