The Great Wall of China at Mutianyu a few days ago. Breathtaking.

Every part is a little different - the wall does go across China lol. But the typical spots you will go are near Beijing.

I've been twice. First time to Badaling and second time to Jiankou.

Badaling was very crowded when I went (late winter). It looked pretty dreary because winter... but one word to describe it: breathtaking. Seriously. Amazing experience. This part is in relatively good condition/restoration.

Second time I went to Jiankou. Not nearly as crowded. Went hiking and camped overnight at Sky Stair then hiked down to a nearby village. Also a great experience, but much scarier as the wall wasn't restored in the areas we hiked. Some very sketchy parts but I did it for the thrill.
