Saudis tell US that Iran is prepping attack on kingdom

Saudi Arabia is preparing to annexe Iran just like Russia attempted to do with Ukraine. They've been buying weapons from the US for years and they're now confident they can win thanks to the now proven superiority of the US and its allies' armement systems on a full scale invasion. The unrest of Iranian people has already destabilized the whole country and they're now attacking the economy by blocking mines from operating as well as other infrastructures of all sorts. It's the perfect storm. Even more so now that Russia has shown to the world that you can actually still kinda conquer something without total annihilation. Saudi Arabia knows they're "protected" against vindictive embargos since they're so closely tied with the West's economy. Look at the Biden administration's response to the OPEC+ announcing that their members agreed to reduce crude oil production which in return would increase prices. The government releases about 160 million gallons of petrol from their National reserve at a pace of 15 million gallons per week and all of that to alleviate the reduce the financial strain on its citizens. I believe that Saudi Arabia's intentions is to send a message to the West announcing that they're holding them by the nuts and they're also making more profit and optimising their returns on this limited ressource that the world is slowly but surely phasing out of society.

If that happens, I believe all hell will break loose in the Middle-East and probably around the world. All countries are currently increasing military spendings and tensions have never been higher. I hope I'm wrong.
