More common than you’d think. A girl I used to hang out with, her sister got a new puppy and showed the pup off on social media for a month or two. Selfies, posts, videos, all saying how happy and lucky etc etc.

One day I realize I hadn’t seen these posts in a few weeks. Spidey senses start tingling. I go check, all posts deleted, no more videos or daily stories about the pup. Pup never seen again (this was 2-3 years back).

My assumption. She either thought she would love the pup or she wanted to show the pup off to social media to add to her own “cute” vibe. Then suddenly realized it wasn’t worth the effort and dumped the dog.

I asked her where the pup went. No reply.
