Alright, I think it would be best to introduce a few people before I let you know what happened. We'll call the guy in the link A, his girlfriend B, and their friend C. A is 19, B is 18 and C is 17.
My friend and I used to give B rides to and from school because she didn't have a license, and neither did A. (I realize now that this was the first of a few mistakes in this story) A has threatened to kill both of us twice. The first time was in November, where he heard we were going to pick up B and just leave her somewhere. After a few logical statements from my side, the conversation ended.
The second occurrence, however, took place on 3/20. We were in class with B and C; and C was trying to brag about his car, which is nothing shy of irritating. I ended up calling his bs on a lot of the things he was saying, and he REALLY didn't like that. But, it was B that really hated it. She had apparently been shittalking myself and my friend to A for the entirety of the school year. Fast forward to the end of next period, B is leaving class. I don't know how I would explain my humor. But sometimes I make remarks as jokes that have no authenticity to them, and she would usually make them back. I said "lata bitch" as she was leaving and she didn't take it as a joke. I apologized and everything, but it was to no avail.
About an hour later, I get a message from A. This message tells me to ease up on C, because he has a hard home life. I try to make a civil statement, which is met with hostility. A long conversation ensues, which is filled with hypocrisy from his end. It gets to the point where he makes the second death threat.
I want to make it clear that I am by NO MEANS intimidated by this kid, and what happens next is entirely a shitty spiteful thing that I can't say I'm all too proud of.
I told them I called the cops, and that they'd be here in less than half an hour to take a police report. Of course, I hadn't and was just hoping to scare them shitless. It worked though. B Called me bawling saying that they don't want the cops involved, and goes on to text me saying that when he said he would "end me" that he didn't mean "end you like end your life". I told them that I called back saying there was a misunderstanding, but if anything happened again, that I'd be calling them back. I felt as though I'd dodged a bullet, but apparently what I did wasn't illegal.
Not much has happened since, but I do feel pretty shitty for what happened at the end. They were COLOSSAL assholes to me, but I feel like that may have been a little far.
