Had a dream in which I [32 M] was a student in Jung's class

Thank you so much for this stellar analysis! I have reflected on what you have said, and you have touched on salient material for me.

I will definitely take your suggestion to explore archetypal music therapy. It is no coincidence that I have chosen to work towards becoming a music therapist as my career. I am sure this dream is calling me to incorporate Jung's work into my practice in the future when I have succeeded at completing a music therapy program.

I want to add that I think you hit the mark in interpreting the insects as symbols of raw life: urges, life, death. I understand now why I used a big black police flashlight to smash them; it is a symbol of me trying to police my raw instincts and control them. I am a bit neurotic in the sense that I fight against my desires and shut them down, leaving me often feeling unfulfilled. Perhaps I need not to police my instincts so much and flip the flashlight around and shine the light (of consciousness?) on them more .

Thank you again truly for taking the time to interpret my dream. You have helped me learn a lot from it!
