Many of you say that you all has done a lot of inner work what do you mean by "Inner Work' ?

For me, its figuring out what my "id" wants, my drives, and ruling myself to be more practical and deliberate in my efforts. You'd be so surprised how much of our goals are no different than a child reaching for more candy or an excessive amount of attention/validation. To me, inner work makes me a self-sufficient person, able to enjoy everything in life in a balanced manner. Its zen as f*** to do all this without having to think. Theres a story of a zen master that was professing his knowledge to a crowd ," the first rule of zen is -something-, the next is... oh I forgot them, look them up." Having to act deliberately, all, the, time, instead of in an eloquently effortless manner, is quite maddening.
