I had to get stitches last week in a local hospital. What was your worst medical emergency experience in China?

After being run over by a motorcycle whilst riding my bike, and being left laying in the middle of the road with cars going around me and pedestrians ignoring me, I managed to crawl to the edge of the road and call a friend who came to my rescue. Anyway... I couldn't stand and walk on my own because my knee was torn up. The hospital, which is said to be "the best" in this tier-1 city, has no wheelchairs or crutches. Others who are injured or sick are being carried by their family and friends. Even though I was in great pain and couldn't walk I still had to wait for every idiot who felt that their sniffles and runny nose were an "emergency". The nurses in their dirty uniforms who processed me in were all icy and bitchy. A thermometer was shoved into my mouth after being taken out of a cup on the counter with a dozen other thermometers. I was with a Chinese friend so a lack of language skills wasn't the cause of their bitchiness. Finally it is my turn and I hobble and hop into the tiny exam room while my friend is half-carrying me. The doctor, in his own filthy smock, never once addresses me nor does he ever look directly at me. In the meantime other patients are barging in through the closed door to bring up their issues, interrupting and not in the slightest acknowledging that the doctor is examining a patient. The doctor, likewise, turns away from me to consult with these rude and ignorant shouting screeching idiots barging in one after another. Why is doesn't shoo them out, well... "cultural differences". I am told to go arrange for an x-ray, which we must do on our own. He makes no arrangements on our behalf. The xray dept. is clear across the hospital so once again I hobble and hop while being half-carried by my friend. It takes a long time and I am in excruciating pain. Finally we arrive and there is no x-ray technician. My friend goes to hunt him down. Some time later he shows up in his own bitchy mood. He is filled in with what's going on and I am told, in English, to get up on the table. He then grabs my injured knee and manipulates it into position with no regard for the pain he's causing nor does he respond when I scream out in pain nor does he offer any sort of apology nor show the slightest concern. I tell him I want an MRI and he says it's not possible, (this being "the best" hospital in the city). I'd have to go to a Western clinic he says. We make it back to the doctor in his tiny exam room, he looks at the x-ray, and says I need a cast. Again I say I want an MRI (through my Chinese friend) and I am ignored. But he then, in clear English, tell me what is necessary for my recovery with is pretty much stay off the leg for a few weeks. Like the xray we're on our own getting the cast. Like the xray there is nobody around. Finally he arrives and we're let in to the cast-room, which looks like it has recently suffered a bombing. It's filthy and in total disarray. He, too, grabs my legs to manipulate it into position with no warning, apologies or any sign of concern. Meanwhile, he's smoking the entire time, with his face just inches from mine. Eventually I have a loose, shoddy full-leg cast. He tells me to be careful to not let the cast touch the ground. I tell him (oh yeah, he's no speaking English) that I need crutches. He says there are none, I'll have go buy them on my own somewhere. It's time to go, so I say that I need help getting out to the street to a taxi, how can I do that without crutches? He looks at me and says in all seriousness "Hop." Two days later, with very minimal moving about, the shoddily-made cast is falling off my leg. The plaster is just hanging by the gauze-wrap. So we take it off and my friend finds a full leg-brace at a local medical supply store with is much more effective.
