This is such an off the wall question. Why Vision and Rhodey? What would be their reason for being in the movie? In Civil War we really only saw Peter have a relationship with Tony.

Surely you can't mean instead of Iron Man. Sony was totally into having RDJ/Iron Man appear because he's been the most notable face of the MCU and is a proven box office draw. Movies with Iron Man make a billion dollars.

If they were in as additional characters, on top of Tony, sure some people would cheer. Most people would be expecting vision, at least, to show up in an action scene, though, and some people would definitely complain that it's overdoing the "We're in the MCU now!"
