Hello watch brother! Here's mine: http://i.imgur.com/bIGNMma.jpg
[–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 4 points 9 hours ago Hey everyone! So I've been eyeing a Hamilton ever since interstellar came out of course and because they're affordable, high quality automatics and they're very traditional/simple (some anyway). The speedy will have to step aside for a number of years as this was a pretty significant purchase for me and I couldn't be happier. I ended up buying the bracket version simply for longevity and resale value should I ever run into financial trouble in the future. This is my first bracket as I'm not a huge fan of them. I'll say I'm making an exception for this one. I have small wrists, but the sizing went very well and it's fits snug enough that it's rotates on my wrist very little. With a 20 mm lug width, I'll definitely be putting a strap on it soon though just to have that option. You just can't beat leather straps. Please excuse the order of the unboxing. I can't edit the order of pictures on the imgur app I have. I bought the watch this past Friday, but I wanted to do a proper unboxing for you Reddit. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I'm enjoying my first automatic. This will certainly be my daily for years to come. I love this watch. It should hopefully stifle my addiction for a long time. Enjoy. Please leave comments or suggestions. Also... The case is 42mm. permalinksavereportgive goldreply
formatting helpreddiquette Save [–]sad-king-billy 4 points 8 hours ago I have its cousin! This dial colors go really well with this strap; it's a Crown and Buckle. permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 2 points 8 hours ago Nice! Thank you for the pics. I look forward to a strap in the future. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]MobileAd_Guy 3 points 7 hours ago That's a great watch! Enjoy it. We're all family. http://i.imgur.com/FrKwBRF.jpg permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 1 point 6 hours ago Thank you! Your watch was the one I originally considered. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]hal0eight 3 points 6 hours ago I don't normally like Hamiltons, but that is hot. Which movement do they use? permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 1 point 6 hours ago Thank you. This uses the H-30 caliber movement according to their website. It has a typical 80 hour power reserve. That was kind of impressive to me. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]ninelives1 3 points 4 hours ago I like the coloring of the letters. Through that thing on a leather strap and it'll look gorgeous. permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]sfoskett 2 points 8 hours ago Hamilton makes some great watches. Enjoy it! But watch out - the watch bug will get you... permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 1 point 8 hours ago Oh yes. This is my 6th watch, but the most expensive. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]SpaceTimePiece 2 points 8 hours ago Hamilton are rock solid. Beautiful watch! permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 1 point 8 hours ago Thank you. I'm loving the day date feature. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]greggggggggg 2 points 4 hours ago Such a nice looking piece. If it were a few millimeters smaller, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 2 points 4 hours ago I was on the fence about 42 mm, but this is the biggest I'll go in the future. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]bloomblox 2 points 9 hours ago Why are you wearing it on your right wrist? Or am I just going crazy? permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]PolaBurrr 5 points 8 hours ago left handed maybe? permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 6 points 8 hours ago I am indeed left handed. I really like having the crown on the other side too. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]ryayy 4 points 5 hours ago Lefties Unite!! permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 2 points 5 hours ago Yes! We're just bags of awesome sauce. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]ryayy 1 point 5 hours ago I was wondering what your collection was? Mine consists of one nice seiko, the cheap casio diver, and two timex expiditions... also 2 G-shocks permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 1 point 5 hours ago My collection right now is a Citizen Blue Angels (my first expensive watch), Citizen military watch (I don't remember the model, but it's in my post history), a Timex expedition (also in post history), an Armitron dress watch that my wife got me on our wedding day and finally this watch. This Hamilton, to me is my stopping point until I can easily afford something like a speedy, which will be a long time. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]etzumakas -1 points 6 hours ago Now we're worrying about what wrist people wear a watch on? permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]oxg 1 point 4 hours ago Love the dial! Model #? permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 3 points 4 hours ago Model number: Hamilton H70505933 permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [–]_walden 1 point 4 hours ago I'm saving up for that very watch. Did you get it at a dealer or online? The online gray market prices are very attractive.... permalinksavereportgive goldreply [–]MrPhysicsGuy[S] 2 points 4 hours ago I purchases through a AD. I really wanted to buy online because it's so much cheaper there. The reason I went with a dealer is they offered a full service warranty. This includes anything that goes wrong with it... they fix it. permalinksaveparentreportgive goldreply [+][deleted] (6 children)
