Hardware wallet

I tested both Trezor One and Ledger X. (Actually I wanted to "upgrade" from Trezor to the Ledger).

Well, I'm back to my trusty Trezor. Ledger experience was meh to nerve wracking. To test the new thingy I sent a few DCRs to my ned shiny Ledger and the software completely broke. There was a syncinc error with the DCR blockchain and well that's that. I had to manually restore a DCR wallet from the Ledger passphrase (via some obscure github project).

That was ~1 week ago. Ledger support still hasn't replied to my ticket.

So yeah, thanks but no thanks. I fell for their "Secure element" marketing .. but after some reading it's not that secure as the Ledger company still can access the keys inside. At least with Trezor I can read through the firmware code. Ledger is closed and their support sucks. So it's like the worst of two worlds: Proprietary software combined with open source level support.
