Hi! Brit here considering staying in America for a short while. What are some big differences I should know about?

Some things to consider when/if you come to Las Vegas: *Weather: It can easily can get 110°F(43°C) and over in the summer months, while being around 58°F(14°C) in January. The climate is also very, very dry, so remain hydrated/drink lots of water. I'd recommend wearing light clothing and comfy shoes, a hat and/or sunglasses, especially if you're sun sensitive. (I live in shorts and sleeveless shirts these days.) The heat keeps a lot of people inside during the day and out at night when the heat gets bearable. *Healthcare: I don't have much experience with the Healthcare out here, but it seems pretty decent, especially for the Elderly. *Religion: Las Vegas has no judgement in regards to weather or not you're religious. There's a bunch of churches of all sizes and names, English and non English, though joining one is not mandatory. *As for guns; this is still the 'Wild West', so prepare for gun stores/ranges and people carrying. There's no law that I'm aware of prohibiting open carry on guns, so you can see members of the general public carrying pistols and other small handguns. This is primarily seen in places away from the Strip. *Las Vegas is pretty much an adult's playground, especially on the Strip (the main road of Hotels/Stores/etc. that people think of when they think of Vegas). Once you leave and go further away from the main tourist-y area, you'll see a large population of Latino and Asian people (mostly Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, Thai, and Laotian (people from Laos) from what I've seen). A decent amount of places have Spanish up as well as English, Auto Shops in particular in my area. There's lots of Latino places to eat aside from Taco Bell, so I recommend hitting one up if you have the want. Las Vegas is a 24/7 city, so you can get pretty much anything at pretty much any time (Steak and Eggs 10 pm to 7 am for $9.99(£7.51)! Alcohol at Wal-Mart! Penny Slots at Convenience Stores! Alcoholic Slushies at some Convenience Stores! Weird ass people walking about in broad daylight!)
