Hochelaga Pushes Back to Those Pushing In

My main issue with this is that people keep talking about Working Class this and Working Class that. Working Class does not exist anymore. Big industries moved out of the Island. Even then, being from Trois-Rivieres, working class were people working in Paper Mills that had enough money to buy that cottage up north and Go to Wildwood in the summer.

That was 30 years ago, not today.

These days, the working class can barely afford a 1½ apartment to survive in while continuing to do nothing but work like a bunch of 19th century slaves.

Hoche-town back in the day was a shithole. Some part of it still is. Young families that works on the Island need a safe place to raise their kids with little to no upkeep with all the amenities that they need to continue their lives. All the residential areas are out of their price range because the boomers wanting to cash in on their houses. That leaves the verduns, Hochelaga, rosemont, Pointe st-charles to adapt to these changes.

Stop saying that rich people wants to kick you out. It's people who worked their asses off to put money on the side to live a decent life that want a chill place to live.

They're poor fucks too; they're just not willing to accept it. How much will it take you to stop this poor-on-poor violence and stand up to the 1% who are hoarding all our wealth?
