Home Network Upgrade with Router Question

All - as an update to my original post and some new questions…

I modified my original plan to this setup….

Comcast Business Modem —> UDM SE —> (3) UniFi 6 Lite AP.

So far everything is working awesome. Easy setup and install. And a major performance and reliability upgrade from my old Apple setup.

Now, my new questions deal with getting my outside barn connected to the new house network….

I would like to do a SPF+ fiber link in-between the house and barn (buried conduit distance is 90-100m).

Currently my UDM-SE has the house (3) AP’s and a couple other items hard wired. So, (5) out of the (8) total port are being used.

Onto my questions…..

What would be the better setup using fiber….

1) UDM-SE (house) —> USW-Pro-24 POE (barn) —> UniFi 6 Lite AP and other connected items.

2) UDM-SE —> USW-Pro-24 POE (house) —> USW-Pro-24 POE (barn) —> Unifi 6 Lite AP and other connected items.

Really the only difference between the two options is that #2 adds a second switch which would handle the house network.

And finally, if I went with #1 to keep costs down a little, would there be an performance issues with my UDM-SE handling the Cat6 and fiber router/switch duties?

Thanks again and forgive my rookie networking questions :)
