Homeschool and working part time

I love homeschooling my kids. I work far too many hours but I homeschool anyway. Its a lot of pressure and I am always exhausted at the end but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Find a rhythm and flow that works for you and your family. For my family, we do read aloud and go over assignments before I go to work. Kids are with the caretaker all day until I get off work at night; during this time my kinder does the assignment independently because the caretaker does not instruct. After work, I review to stay on top of progress.

Personally I think it would be hard to lesson plan if you aren't directly involved with instruction or with reviewing the work. As I'm working with my child, I am constantly assessing if the curriculum is working for us or not and if something needs to change. A program or curriculum might sound good, but it may not work for you in real life based on your teaching style or the child's learning style.
