How to calm an Asgardian

I don't really follow Thor. When I see that picture, it makes me think that somehow, Thor has done something that disqualified him from weilding the hammer and now we have a new character that can weild the hammer. Initially, I don't have a lick of a problem with this. SO LONG as the rules are observed. I don't particularly think that u/Captainstarlord is wrong, at least not in the long view of the issues. I agree with u/captainstarlord that representation in comics and videogames especially for other genders and whatnot is certainly important and I welcome the change with open arms. But you too ARE correct in that there are RULES that have been established for the entirety of comic universes that are unique from the very REAL pressence of racism and sexism in that media. It's there and u/Captainstarlord is right to tap on that vein. I have an issue on the grounds that the rules have been broken or that cannon has been betrayed. I don't have a problem with a female Thor, so long as the emergence of female Thor has something to do with how the rules of the hammer have been established and it just so happens that this time around, Thor has emerged in the body of a woman... if that's the case. In this, I can even understand that Thor could certainly identify as a woman. I appreciate u/Captainstarlord's passion about the current issues of the fandom at large and sometimes, those assessments are going to be wrong, especially far less wrong than that they're USUALLY right. Currently, I don't know what to think about any other person weilding the hammer like that. It doesn't make sense to me and I'd like to hear the explanation according to the rules that now we have another person who can weild that hammer but Thor is still there. Did Thor fail in some way? Did he betray his post as Odinson? I don't understand. I guess all I'm saying is right now, u/captainstarlord doesn't seem like they're correct in this assessment but I'm hoping that this doesn't make you feel animosity towards those that do want to see this media become more inclusive because I think it's an exciting time to be a fan of comics when we're slowly starting to see the depiction of women and other genders and other orientations being shown in positive lights and we shouldn't stand in the way of that because u/captianstarlord just happens to be wrong about this, just this one time.
