Play the game for fun, dont think about winning or losing.

I personally play Axl and I know that I can only beat Potemkin but its the only fun character at the moment for me, because he actually teaches you spacing and playing by reacting. I cant skip neutral like nago and hc or play footies like ram or get a free 50/50 multiple time in one combo string like zato does.

I personally enjoy axl and pot at the moment. I feel like every input i do require some thinking and that what drives the fun in the game. Honestly if there was no axl or johnny, i would not touch strive.

Bottomline, is that you need to get rid of the mentality that I have to win to enjoy. Find the character that you enjoy and play.
