Bridget Lore Discussion Megathread

I’m probably gonna get piled on for this but it really rubs me the wrong way how dismissive certain people are being over people who feel like they’ve had a character they related to taken from them. I’m not against trans people in games but it doesn’t sit right with me how people are defending a certain group being erased & a character people related to being changed because it happened in a way that benefits them.

It also doesn’t sit right with me seeing others put down for attaching themselves to certain characters whilst praising characters for representing certain groups. Which one is it? Are people allowed to feel connected to characters in media or not?

I also hate how people have been essentially telling others “trans people have it harder so you shouldn’t be upset about it”. The idea that any group is worth more than others is toxic and it’s disappointing to see that attitude expressed so often here.

Idk this is probably the last time I’m gonna comment on this because this whole discourse is opening up some old wounds but honestly people should be better & not put others down for feeling certain ways about characters & what they mean to them.
