How does everyone feel about tobacco?

I would suggest that smoking a pack of cigarettes would not be comparable to a Native American smoking the dried leaves of cleanly grown tobacco. The various industrial fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and fungicides used in the growing of tobacco undoubtably contribute to some of the negative health effects.

Also, the belief that this is a bad habit likely does not serve you well. Though it may have helped you kick the habit in the first place it seems to be preventing you from enjoying tobacco in a responsible way and could very well lead to you picking the habit back up.

I would suggest to forgive yourself for having previously smoked cigarettes and drop the belief that it is a bad habit. This is certainly not simple as we typically don't fully understand why we believe what we believe otherwise we would be capable of more easily changing it.

No one else can tell you how to approach this as no one knows you as well as you do so let me offer an example from my experience. I started smoking marijuana fairly heavily around the age of 18 in college. I enjoyed it quite a bit and greatly increased my social circle because of it where previously I had been very non-social in highschool.

I smoked constantly for a few years and daily after that up until recently; I'm 31 now. I went back and forth between trying to stop and simply accepting that it was something I would always do but still feeling guilty about it. My efforts to stop were never successful no matter how much I told myself it was not useful. Often this would prevent my enjoyment of it.

I was finally able to stop recently after a few psychedelic experiences. I realized I had held on so tightly to it because it had brought me friends in college where previously I had had so few; it 'made me cool.' I realized the guilt that I had associated with it did not serve me well either.

My point is that you can evolve your relationship to tobacco to where you can enjoy it and not feel guilty about it if you understand why you did it in the first place and realize that the guilt is not useful. Also, finding some good organic tobacco might not be a bad idea.

Good luck!
