I went to California and lived there for a while.

Father in law passed away.
Got an inheritance.
Bought a Plymouth belvedere with intention of restoring it.
Almost had a kid (abortion).
Went and saw the redwoods.
My uncle back home passed away.
Sold the belvedere.
Split up with the wife.
Came back to Toronto.
Got a birthday trip to Arizona.
Saw the grand Canyon.
Got a new girlfriend back home in Toronto.
Landed a decent job.
Cat passed away traumatically.
Cat passed away due to breast cancer.
Mom passed away.
Got two girlfriends at the same time and experimented with an open poly relationship.
Two girlfriends didn't work, one was crazy. Back to one girlfriend.
Moved out to my own place with my girlfriend.
Job shipped me to Moncton for training.
Grandpa passed away.
Jon shipped me to Montreal for training.
Grandma passed away.
Quit job to start better job.
Dad passed away.
Lost chance of better job due to crippling depression.
Inherited three cats.
On welfare.
Got another job.
It's much worse than the last job and promotions don't exist.
Traveled across Canada in a first class train with sleeper cars with my girlfriend.
Stayed in Halifax for a night and saw an amazing music festival.
Girlfriend became fiance.
Stayed in the presidential suite on Canada day in the Fairmont hotel next to the Canadian parliament (it had a dining hall inside the suite. It was so big I got lost).
Went to Niagara Falls and watched the who's line crew live.
Bought way too many designer toys.
Best friend became an abusive alcoholic.
Found new best friend.
Climbed out of depression.
Turned 30 yesterday.

Tl;dr: a lot of people died.
