How do I fry an egg, like Sunny side up?

If you've had issues with eggs, I would start with scrambled eggs, which are pretty easy to make.

The butter can give it flavor, but really it's there to keep the eggs from sticking to the pan. If you have a decent non-stick pan, you don't really need any butter or oil.

Here is how I make scrambled eggs in a non-stick pan:

  • Take 1 or 2 eggs per person and break them into a bowl (pick out any shell pieces that fell in)

  • Use a fork or whisk to mix the eggs until they're all blended together

  • Heat up a pan to Medium heat. I like my eggs a little crispy on the outside, so I usually turn it up to Med-High or High.

  • Add the eggs to the pan. Let them sit for 20-30 seconds, then start breaking them up with a spatula or something non-metal that won't damage the pan.

  • As the eggs start to harden, keep moving them and breaking them apart.

  • Once they have no more liquid (just broken up eggs), add some other stuff if you want, like chopped onions, celery, potatoes, cooked bacon pieces, etc.

  • Let everything get nice and warm, then add some shredded cheddar cheese as you get near the end. As soon as the cheese starts melting, turn off the heat and mix the cheese into the eggs.

  • Put the eggs on a plate and enjoy!

  • Bonus: toast a bagel and put some of the eggs on it.
