Big surprise here (sort of) but in my experience, the studies that have the most info about tapering are funded by big pharma but it's because they do still want you to use the med as long as possible............. anyways best of luck

This really depends on the setting that the OP receives treatment in. Outpatient clinics tend to avoid tapering bc you're typically only seeing their prescribers on a monthly basis. The attitude towards tapering is usually different in a partial/inpatient setting. I can't imagine a PCP would be too comfortable with tapering their patient off of psych meds they didn't originally prescribe either.
