How is the magic box working for those who have one?

11.2Mbps/7.6Mbps down/up, with 70ms ping. So nothing spectacular, but a definite upgrade from -111db signal strength b25 signal that I used to get when standing next to one corner window of my house, on one foot =) It was crappy 3G signal everywhere inside my place otherwise.

Voice signal is bad too where I live, so I was solving more for reliable voice calls (because I have WiFi through my ISP).

Previously, I used to use the Asus Wi-Fi-Connect router for Wifi-calling, but the other party would often not hear me on the Wifi call. Other times there'd be crazy jitter on the line...

I applied for and got an Airave 3 LTE, and it was fine except it depended on my ISP to work, and it wouldn't support outbound Calling Plus LTE-calling (I use a Samsung S8+).

Magic Box threads the needle for me; it's independent of my ISP, the nearby donor site supports a decent b25 signal which is ok, and I can turn on LTE-calling and turn off Wifi-calling to get the benefit of this new feature solving for clearly audible voice calls.

On the topic of range: Although I get decent Magic Box coverage all around my place, I think it's a stretch to say that it would help my neighborhood. 100 meters from the window where my MB sits isn't going to help all they many people when you think about it. I'm in the suburbs and the area isn't too densely populated.

MB is a stop-gap solution, and not designed to offset Sprint's sorely lacking terrestrial tower coverage on some areas of the country IMO.
