How the Pandemic Is Fueling a Boom in Animated TV Series and Movies.

There are way too many animated shows flooding every streaming service and cable network. Most of them are just really bad.

The networks with original animated shows include:

Boomerang

Cartoon Network / Adult Swim

Disney Channel

Disney XD

FOX

FX

Nickelodeon

Nick Jr.

Syfy

TBS

Unless I'm forgetting something, that's literally it. Out of those, only Adult Swim, FOX, FX, Syfy, and TBS have adult animated shows, and only Adult Swim, FOX and Syfy have more than two adult animated shows.

When it comes to streaming services, Netflix has a bunch, and they have yet to even make a bad adult animated show in my opinion. They have some mediocre anime, but a lot of their adult animated shows, both anime and otherwise, are among the best ones being produced. Hulu has two, DC Universe has two (arguably one depending on whether you count Young Justice as being an "adult" show now or not), Amazon Prime has one plus a few anime with exclusive distribution in the US, and HBO Max has none. While there are others in development for various platforms, that's nowhere near saturation, and most of the ones being produced are good.
