A way to make friends is to get into DJing, flow arts, or some other aspect of the culture (just for fun like a “closet DJ, “ hooping, fire dancing, gloving, flow painting, production, etc) Get into the music and less of the partying. When music is your purpose for raving and partying is just part of it then you’ll connect deeper with those who are there for the same reason. When partying is your purpose to rave and the music is just the backdrop you might make more shallow connections with those who are there for the same reason (to party). They call it vibing for a reason. Maybe shift your vibe and you’ll start to vibe with those seeking deeper connection in general.

Also, make sure to put effort in relationships outside the scene (family, friends, coworkers). And other hobbies and joy. That might take time but consider it.

Find you local underground scene, go to the events, meet the local DJ’s, promoters and make genuine connections. Make friends because you connect with the music. And you’ll have something in common to make the initial connection easier, music.
