How do we come together?

I disagree on the basis that selfishness is often a misused word and very perspective oriented. Like, I've seen someone called selfish because the buy and horde a lot of stuff and they prefer their stuff over their own family and friends. I would say that is not selfish because they are not really taking care of themselves, they are doing something that is actually detrimental to themselves. I would say they are materialistic and that they prefer material things over social things. On the other hand I've also heard people called selfish because they spend more time at their work, all they think about is their work and they don't think about their family and friends, but those people what they do is they care about their customers and they bend over backwards to satisfy their customers and end up neglecting their family and themselves.

In the end it is not selfishness that is the problem, it is fraud that is the problem. That is a person who says they care about the community in order to gain it's favor but turn around and do things against the community for their own gain. Politicians are a perfect example of this problem. People who throw around the word selfish can also be committing fraud to gain favor.
