How will Clinton be better able than Sanders to 'get things done'?

You come across as someone that has started supporting Sanders in the last year and is rather ignorant to the reality of Sanders as a member of the House of Representatives and then the Senate.

Sanders' idea of negotiation is call other people corrupt for not agreeing with him. His idea of compromise is voting no. He is the left-wing obstructionist. The issues he raises are important and Democrats appreciate him for that but his fellow legislators don't endorse him because the way he carries himself is not leadership material. He is a great member of Congress. Absolutely a great member of Congress. But he would never be Speaker or Senate Majority Leader because he spends far too much time suggesting other Democrats are sell outs.

Sanders isn't trying to be elected President so he can propose single payer healthcare and then compromise on expanding the ACA. That is not who Sanders is. Sanders would demand single payer healthcare; Congress will say no; and, Sanders will give speeches about how they are all corrupt while nothing happens. That is who Sanders is.

Ron Paul has a pretty long track record as a consistent libertarian. He was never fortunate enough to have a true one on one campaign like Sanders has had, but they are very comparable. They are both ideologues from pretty undemanding districts (or now state for Sanders) where there isn't a real backlash for any speech or vote taken. They have free reign in Washington to just speak their mind. And for a long time, they've both consistently done that.

The problem with both is that they are truly ideologues. They truly believe their views on politics & economics & the world are absolutely correct. When people don't agree with their positions, they are entirely dismissive of it because they do not believe any rationale person could look at the same set of facts & come to a different conclusion than them. When someone doesn't want single payer healthcare, Sanders looks at them as stupid or corrupt but it must be one of the two. He does not respect the fact that some people simply do not want their government involved in their healthcare coverage. He does not respect the fact that some people simply do not want the government to set their prices through healthcare.

The problem with ideologues is that the only acceptable values and principles are their own. That is absolutely Sanders.
