Hunter uses his shotgun to free an elk trapped in some wire

Calling a gun shitty because they don't fit those criteria means you're ignoring that a gun is also a tool and not just an expensive toy. You don't have to be able to hand it down to your grandchildren for it to function as a tool. A gun doesn't have to be pretty to function as a tool. A gun doesn't have to be easily concealable or ergonomic to function as a tool. If you want all that then you should spend more than $150 on a handgun. It's not shitty just because you don't like it, those are separate concepts. I'm tired of seeing people who can't or won't distinguish between the two.

It's like saying a basic computer is worthless because it can't handle the latest games at high settings and doesn't have a window where you can see all the random LEDs inside.

a person shouldn't be judged because they don't like them

I'm not going to judge someone for disliking this inanimate object, but I am going to correct your hyperbolic claims and your lack of ability to distinguish between "I don't like it" and "It's a piece of shit" makes your opinion pretty worthless to me.
