Husband who beat wife's heroin dealer with baseball bat gets probation

Maybe because the heroin users that you know aren't responsible, the responsible heroin users would NEVER let you know that they're using. I used heroin 3 times a week for about 5 years and worked in the medical field, I would snort a line when I got back from work to relax. I never got addicted, I never fiended for it, and when I took a couple of months off to travel I barely even missed it and I certainly didn't crave it. I would have half a gram just sitting in my drawer and no matter what I wouldn't touch it unless it was on the 3 days out of the week I allowed myself.

Only about 23% of people who try heroin get addicted https://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/drugfacts/heroin I completely stopped using it when I moved to a new state and didn't want to deal with the hassle of avoiding drug tests for work and was trying to have a child. Heroin is the overrated big bad boogeyman of the drug world. In reality pure, clean H is no more harmful than alcohol or prescription pain meds. The accountability is on the user, not the drug. I will say though that the people who cut H with fentanyl are gigantic shitbags.
