i9 10900K vs i9 11900K - Gaming

I live near a Microcenter and was just able to purchase the i9-10900KF (no igpu) for $330 for a couple weeks ago. I was glad to upgrade from my i7-4790k.

The factor that pushed me over the edge was how it was topping the 11900k in these benchmarks though. This whole thing is kind of embarrassing for Intel, is it not? Or they must have an ace up their sleeve and maybe they want to garner that underdog appeal? Who knows. I'm a happy consumer right now (if I don't remember that I'm still stuck on a GTX 1080).

I wish these benchmarks used a game like Factorio (late-game) though. There are lots of consumers who seek high-end CPUs for certain simulation games. I did. Also, I wonder if there be a point where the lack of PCI-E 4 on the 10 series makes this bad for longevity over 11 series and up/AMD. I've always been a SLI user to this point, because I hate myself, but given the new single-card world we're entering, I'd imagine it will take a bit before PCI-E 3.0 becomes a noticeable bottleneck.
