If Samsung can replace more than a million phones within a month and flood the market with new devices, there is no reason we should accept shitty customer service from any manufacturer from now on.

I still have issues with the analogy OP is making. Don't get me wrong, I do get that OP is trying to say that other companies should offer better customer support - that goes without saying.

But OP's justification with Samsung's actions with the Note 7 recall doesn't make sense to me. As we all should know, Samsung is an economic giant. Samsung is only willing to pay this tremendous cost of a billion dollars to recall these phones is because it'll be cheaper in the long run rather than to deal with the destruction of their mobile division if they shrugged this potentially lethal problem.

Given that, why is Samsung's situation being applied here as a reason that other companies should have better support? If companies like HTC, LG, Sony, etc. deemed that they shouldn't take the time and cost to improve support, then so be it. Businesses have a goal to make the most profits as they can. Money is words to them, so talk with it.

Samsung willed to pour a billion to fix this mess for the survival of their image. The likes of HTC, LG, etc. are nowhere close to facing the situation Samsung has on their hands to give a shit on improving customer service. I really don't see how this analogy is being made. Likely the very reason this comment section seems confused as to what the intentions of OP is saying in the same breath of Samsung handling this PR nightmare.
