I'm having some issues regading porn, prostitution and the depiction of women in media. Help me?

Maybe you think only hot chicks get these jobs because you narrowly define the job as being hot. Let me illustrate. Every other week on Ophry, some worn out old catcher's mitt of a starlet snivels, "There are no good roles in Hollywood for women over forty. It's not fair, it's sexist, men are pigs." My first thought is, none of these yaks ever says complains about the jobs she got because she was young and hot. Carrie Fischer never said, "You know, I'm not a very good actress. I only got work because I was hot three or four hundred years ago, and because I banged Dan Ackroyd, who only tolerated me because I was hot. It's sexist and unfair that Gilda Radner didn't get all my jobs. She's a way better actress than me."

My second thought is that women nominated for an Oscar for best actress or supporting actress just in the last few years (because I'm too lazy to look up the ones in the Paleolithic era when Daryl Hanmah didn't look like a rhinoceros) areJulianne Moore, Laura Dern,Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Judi Dench, Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep again, Julia Roberts, Patricia Arquette, again, Julia Roberts, Patricia Arquette, Sally Field, Helen Hunt, Glenn Close, Streep again...

So there seem to be a lot of great roles for women over 40. But when you turn on your TV and see Alyssa Milano you say "why is it only young, hot chicks," ignoring the livestock who played Angela and Mona.

You know who plays young hot secretaries? Young hot chicks. You know who plays 79.4% of parts. Chicks that are not young and hot. Just like your observation about porn.

If you look at Maxim, it's full of hot chicks. But in order to conclude that the media has a problem, you had to obscure all of the other 7000 magazines on the newsstand. You ignored Watchtower, Awake, AARP, Costco Connection, Better Homes and Gardens, Reader's Digest, Family Circle, Good Housekeeping, National Geographic, Time, and the bazillion other magazines that are far more popular, far, far more popular.

I am surprised r/askfeminism banned you. Pulling tricks like this is their stock and trade.
