I love how you've summarized your anxieties about your work. Your clarity of expression in even just this short little post is great evidence that you think deeply about your work and treat it as seriously as a working screenwriter should, even if you aren't yet (or never will be).

Like you said, I don't think you should stop being scared. I think writers should always be just barely braver than they are scared, and then from that position, bare their fucking soul. I think if you or anyone does this they have just as good a shot of stumbling into writing something wonderful or profound as any great screenwriter.
