Back in 2014, the House GOP sued the Obama White House over payments that the federal government was making to insurers, in order to compensate them for the cost of providing discounted deductibles to low-income Obamacare enrollees. Without these “cost-sharing reductions,” fewer insurers would participate in the Affordable Care Act and its markets would likely collapse.

House Republicans argued that the payments were being made unconstitutionally, without a congressional appropriation. Last May, a federal judge agreed"

It was a rammed through bill that was full of flaws. When you look at the overall design and the deficits it was backloaded to fail. At some point it was going to collapse unless you ushered in universal healthcare. On top of that the deceitful way it was implemented and defended by Obamas administration, the "tax that isnt really a tax". Insurers will keep raising premiums as they continue to consolidate because the small insurers cant compete and cant absorb the low compensation rate the govt sets for services. As a customer, politics aside, its just been deteriorating service every year for more money 72% premium increase. Thats my biggest personal problem. I feel its hurt us in the long run with deficits and creating a bigger insurance monopoly. Even if its repealed I dont see them lowering premiums, but it would allow the small fish a chance to get back in there. You add selling across state lines and adding protections for pre exisiting conditions we would have something. Basic.
